DEAD LINKS PAINTING

I present the image DEAD LINKS. This is the first of 155 images within the DEAD LINKS series. The etheral visual representations of the human form and esoteric symbolic imagery. From the llustrated book of the same name due out in late 2011.

This is a 36 x 24 inch painting. Mixed media. It comes framed with a signed black and white sketch of the 'cipple'.

DOCTOR WHO

What started off as a challenge thrown down by my good friend Edward Fox to do my version of a CYBERMAN from Doctor Who has grown into an obsessive project. I started to look into the history of the character and took the design right back to the roots. I hope to continue this with more elaborate incarnations and further more explore more characters from the shows history.

If anyone has any favourite characters that would make an interesting update challenge, let me know.

DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS

Here is just the start of a large scale concept. A re-invisioning of a classic 1970's movie. Day of the Triffids. When I get chance I will go into more detail on this and the HATCH project which you can see branded on certain images. For now Im trying to get as much art as possible done before I another major project starts.

Im my early 20's one my all time favourite bands was with a doubt Poisoned.Electrick.head. A electronic, punk, industrial mix of madness. I recently had the pleasure of creating an album cover for them and some concept art for Jedder..

SAMHAIN RISING

My latest artwork ,exhibited at Last Rites gallery from OCt 29th 2010.

Description: Samhain is an ancient pagan term for halloween. A celebration of a time when the veil between the two worlds, the living and the dead is very thin. In this painting I have depicted a view of this veil from the otherside, looking into the mind of man.

There is also a sculpture to acompany the painting, from which the painting is based. This will be avialable to view and purchase on Gerrardart.com very soon.

I just heard that Sony Films will be showing a teaser of Battle La in the upcoming COMIC CON. Im not sure how much of the aliens we will see, if any at all . Soon as I have news or able to post some art , I will for sure.

WEDNESDAY 03

I saw the centre image of self clear as day, however the old men to the side where in my perifial vision, not too clear. Iv done my best to recreate the shape and details of the old guards. I got the feeling that these two twins come together to create the self. Perhaps ?

WEDNESDAY 02

Another medative WED image, I saw people with hips for heads. Alien insect features. At first a circular inner face , then it opened. The centre of the creature was open, moist , pulsing.

RAD DESIGN 13-10

RAD digital sketch. Done sat afternoon . Influenced by one of my all time favourite robot designs ie Hector from Saturn 3. Perhaps some Robocop influence in there as well.

RAD DESIGN 06-10

Rough character design I did . I wanted to create a creature/machine that looked like it was constantly unfolding/ perhaps evolving when it moved. All its limbs would snap into place , somewhat primitive but beautiful at the same time.

WEDNESDAY SKETCHES

Every Wed I take part in a group meditation with close friends. I have asked to recieve an image/creature on this night, that is to be illustrated. I hope to sketch these creature in the following weeks.

Here is week 01. I saw the shape more than anytthing, the energy flow from the Cundalini to the third eye chakra.
